Dr. Quinn Mecham, an Associate Professor at Middlebury College and leading specialist on Middle Eastern politics, will give a talk about current events in Egypt and the region. His research focuses on political Islam and civil conflict in the Muslim world.
Hosni Mubarak's transition from power will be a closely watched event
by the world and particularly by other Arab leaders in the Middle
East as they navigate the sweeping unrest in their countries.
